새 수도권매립지 3차 공모가 오늘(25일) 오후 마감됩니다.

환경부와 인천시 등에 따르면 이번 공모 관련 설명회에는 41개 지자체가 참여했지만 지난 두 차례 공모 때와 마찬가지로 실제 응모한 지방자치단체는 아직 없는 것으로 알려졌습니다.

환경부와 인천시·서울시·경기도는 공모 조건을 변경해 재공모하는 방안을 검토 중인 것으로 전해졌습니다.

특히 응모하기 전 후보지 경계에서 2km 내 주민 동의를 50% 이상 받아야 하는 조건을 응모한 뒤 나중에 동의받는 쪽으로 조건을 변경하는 방안이 검토되고 있습니다.

아울러 부지 최소면적과 부대시설,2015년 야구 순위매립지를 유치한 지자체에 주는 3천억 원의 특별지원금 혜택도 다시 검토해 4차 공모를 할지 저울질하고 있습니다.

수도권 64개 지자체와 2천600만 명의 이해관계가 얽힌 수도권매립지 문제를 해결하기 위해 국가 차원에서 정치적 해법을 내놔야 한다는 지적이 나오고 있습니다.
