영천의 돼지 농장에서 올해 들어 국내 4번째 아프리카돼지열병이 발생하자 방역 당국에 비상이 걸렸습니다.

인근 농가에 대한 검사결과 추가 확진 사례는 아직 나오지 않았지만,확산 위험이 여전해 차단 방역을 강화하고 있습니다.

영천의 한 돼지 농장에서 긴급 소독 작업이 한창입니다.

인근 농장에서 지난 15일 밤 돼지 10여 마리가 아프리카돼지열병 양성판정을 받으면서 바이러스 확산 차단을 위한 방역이 진행되고 있는 겁니다.

[이승철/영천농업기술센터 방역 차량 담당 : "오늘 간 곳은 화북면 자천에 갔다가,발 도안고경면….오전에 110킬로미터를 달렸습니다.그 다음에는 청통면 송천리를 갈 거예요."]

올해 들어 영덕에서 첫 발생 이후 경기 파주,발 도안강원 철원에 이어 네 번째 발병입니다.

특히,발 도안지난달 21일 철원에서 발생한 지 한 달도 채 안 돼 양성 판정이 나오면서 방역 당국이 긴장하고 있습니다.

경상북도는 발생 농장의 돼지 2만 4천여 마리 가운데 절반을 매몰했고 나머지도 내일까지 매몰 처리할 계획입니다.

다만,발생농장 10킬로미터 이내 5곳과 돼지를 분양받은 농장 10여 곳을 정밀 검사한 결과 추가 확진 사례는 나오지 않았습니다.

경북도는 120여 관련 농가에 대해서도 검사를 하고 있는데,이르면 내일쯤 추가 확산 여부가 판가름 날 것으로 보입니다.

[김철순/경북도 동물방역과장 : "(검사가 진행된) 전건 현재까지는 음성이었고요.(진행이) 한 50% 했습니다.나머지 농가에 대해서 계속 지금 검사를 진행 중입니다."]

하지만 어제 의성지역 야생 멧돼지 사체에서 바이러스가 검출되는 등 아직 안심하긴 이른 상황.

이에 드론을 활용해 양돈 농가마다 멧돼지 기피제를 살포하고 포항과 경주,경산 등 인근 5개 시·군의 소독 현황을 점검하는 등 방역의 고삐를 죄고 있습니다.
