(울산=연합뉴스) 김용태 기자 = 울산시 남구는 지역 주민 주도로 장생포를 전국 최대 규모 수국 조성지로 만든다고 8일 밝혔다.

남구는 이날 야음장생포동 자연보호협의회,포항 스틸러스 대 fc 서울 순위마을 주민이 함께 추진한 '수국마을 만들기 프로젝트'의 2년간 결과물인 삽목 수국 500그루를 나눠주는 행사를 개최한다.

2022년부터 시작한 이 프로젝트를 통해 장생포 주민들은 매년 7∼8월 수국 꽃이 지고 난 후 꽃따기 부산물을 활용해 직접 삽목(가지,포항 스틸러스 대 fc 서울 순위줄기,포항 스틸러스 대 fc 서울 순위잎 등을 잘라 흙 속에 꽂아 뿌리 내리게 하는 것) 작업에 참여했다.

2년 정도 삽목지 관리를 통해 길러진 수국은 장생포 주민에게 다시 무료로 배부된다.

남구는 2022년 500그루,포항 스틸러스 대 fc 서울 순위2023년 1천200그루를 삽목 작업했다.

올해도 장생포 오색수국정원 내 41종 3만여 그루의 수국을 이용해 1천200그루를 삽목 작업할 예정이다.
