(인천=연합뉴스) 손현규 기자 = 인천 서구 대단지 아파트에 10시간 넘게 수돗물 공급이 끊겨 4천여세대가 불편을 겪었다.

12일 인천시 상수도사업본부에 따르면 전날 오후 4시 30분께 서구 백석동 한들구역에 있는 아파트 2개 단지에서 흙탕물이 나온다는 민원 40여건이 잇따라 접수됐다.

시 상수도사업본부는 곧바로 해당 2개 단지 아파트에 설치된 저수조 4곳에 수돗물 공급을 중단했고,카트라이후 4천800세대가 단수로 10시간 넘게 불편을 겪었다.

시 상수도사업본부는 전날 오전 한들구역 시공사 측이 고지대의 수압을 높이는 '가압장'을 시범 운영하던 중 수돗물 배관에 이물질이 유입되면서 흙탕물이 나온 것으로 추정했다.

인천시 상수도사업본부 관계자는 "오전 2시 30분쯤 아파트 내 저수조 청소가 끝났다"며 "아침부터는 각 세대에서 수돗물을 사용할 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다.
