네이버는 일본 정부로부터 라인야후 지분 매각에 대한 압박을 받고 있다.라인야후 최대주주인 A홀딩스 지분은 네이버와 소프트뱅크가 50%씩 보유했다.일본 총무성은 보안 문제를 근거로 네이버와 라인야후의 자본관계 정리를 요구하는 행정지도를 두 차례 내렸다.소프트뱅크는 지난 20일 일본 도쿄에서 열린 정기 주주총회에서 "네이버와 (자본관계 정리를) 협의하고 있다"고 밝혔다.
과기정통부는 주무부처로서 네이버의 협상을 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.과기정통부는 5월 라인 관련 현안 브리핑에서 "네이버의 입장을 존중하고 자율적인 판단과 의사결정이 이뤄지도록 하겠다"고 전했다.네이버는 향후 계획을 내놓지 않고 있다.
이 외에 서상원 스테이지파이브 대표도 전체회의 증인으로 채택됐다.과기정통부는 최근 스테이지엑스의 주파수 할당 대상 법인 선정을 취소했다.과방위는 서 대표에게 제4이동통신사 후보자격 취소에 관해 질문할 예정이다.
