서울 종로구 KT광화문빌딩.뉴스1[파이낸셜뉴스] KT가 비정기 인사에서 안전·보건총괄 및 브랜드전략실을 신설하는 등 브랜드 이미지 제고에 나섰다.인공지능(AI) 분야 임원도 새로 영입하는 등 AICT컴퍼니 전략에 속도를 내겠다는 전략으로 해석된다.

1일 업계에 따르면 KT는 이날 안전·보건총괄과 브랜드 전략실장 자리를 신설했다.기존에 있었던 조직을 격상시켜 해당 분야에 힘을 싣겠다는 차원의 인사로 풀이된다.

경영지원부문 산하에 있던 안전·보건 담당은 안전·보건 총괄로 격상됐다.임현규 경영지원부문장(부사장)이 안전·보건 총괄을 겸직한다.

이외 신설된 브랜드전략실 실장은 윤태식 브랜드커뮤니케이션담당(상무)이 보임한다.

경영지원부문 소속인 브랜드전략실은 그룹 브랜드 및 기업 이미지 전략 수립,맨유 리버풀 더비그룹 전체 이미지 제고 등의 역할을 맡는다.

AI 분야에서 담당급 임원을 영입했다.

기술혁신부문 AI2XL Lab AI코어기술담당에 엔씨소프트 AI 테크 센터장 출신의 신동훈 상무를 영입했다.

KT 관계자는 "조직 경쟁력 강화 차원에서 회사 전략 방향에 맞춰 일부 조직을 개선하고 임원 인사를 한 것"이라고 설명했다.
