서울 중구(구청장 김길성)가 폭염과 러브버그에 모두 대응하기 위해 '찾아가는 살수차'를 운영한다.

중구는 올 여름부터 주민 신청을 받아 살수차를 투입한다고 24일 밝혔다.

살수차로 물을 뿌리면 도심 열섬효과도 예방할 수 있다.또한 최근 폭증하고 있는 러브버그 퇴치도 효과를 볼 수 있다.러브버그가 물기를 싫어하기 때문이다.

구는 그동안 주로 간선도로와 이면도로에만 살수차를 투입해 폭염에 달궈진 도로를 식혔다.올해부터는 주민이 원하는 곳이라면 골목길이나 시장까지도 물을 뿌린다는 계획이다.

운영 기간은 다음달부터 9월까지다.동주민센터나 구청 청소행정과에 신청하면 날짜와 시간 등 조율을 거쳐 살수차가 해당 지역에 출동한다.

사업의 원활한 추진을 위해 민간에서 살수차 5대를 추가로 확보했다.폭염특보가 발효되면 주민 신청이 없어도 13대의 살수차가 골목 골목을 누비며 열기를 가라앉히고 러브버그를 쫓을 예정이다.

김길성 중구청장은 "'언제나 든든한 내편 중구"라는 구의 정책 브랜드에 걸맞게 찾아가는 살수차를 운영해 무더위와 러브버그를 한 번에 해결할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
