우리 해군은 매년 2차례씩 독도 방어를 위한 정례 훈련을 진행해 왔는데요.

어찌 된 일인지 올해는 아직까지도 훈련 계획조차 없다는 사실이 확인됐습니다.

지난 2019년 8월 실시된 동해영토수호훈련입니다.

독도방어훈련에서 이름을 바꿔 수상함 16척,항공기 11대에 특전사와 해병대가 참가했습니다.

해군은 독도방어를 위한 동해영토수호훈련을 1986년부터 매년 두 차례 실시해 왔습니다.

그런데 올해는 8월 중순이 다 됐는데도 훈련은 고사하고 계획조차 없는 걸로 확인됐습니다.

지난 2012년 이후 독도방어훈련이 8월 지나 실시된 사례는 단 2차례 뿐이었습니다.

지난 2012년엔 이명박 대통령의 독도 방문 직후인 9월에,2024 프로야구 플레이오프 예매 일정2019년엔 일본의 수출규제을 통한 경제보복 직후인 8월에 실시됐습니다.

이런 극히 이례적인 경우를 제외하면 지난 2012년 이후엔 대부분 상반기엔 6월,2024 프로야구 플레이오프 예매 일정하반기엔 12월에 훈련했습니다.

그러나 올해엔 통상 독도방어훈련이 치러지던 지난 6월,2024 프로야구 플레이오프 예매 일정한미 해군과 일본 자위대는 제주 남쪽 해상에서 연합훈련을 실시했습니다.

다음 주부터 UFS 연습이 시작되는 걸 감안하면 이달 안에 훈련하는 건 불가능해 보입니다.
