대전지검 논산지청은 지역 선배의 딸인 B(21)씨를 수차례 성폭행하고 그 충격으로 사망에 이르게 한 A씨를 강간치상 및 강제추행 치상죄 등 혐의로 구속 기소했다고 28일 밝혔다.

A씨는 B씨가 사망하자 성폭행 범행을 은폐하기 위해 허위 사실을 퍼뜨린 혐의(사자명예훼손죄)도 받고 있다.

범행의 충격으로 B씨의 인지능력은 만 4세 수준으로 저하됐다.B씨의 죽음으로 충격에 빠진 친 아버지는 B씨가 사망한 주거지에 들어가지 못하고 열악한 임시컨테이너에서 생활을 이어갔다.

피해를 진술할 B씨가 사망한 까닭에 검찰은 수사에 어려움을 겪었으나 휴대전화 포렌식 결과와 B씨가 작성한 다이어리의 내용 등을 재검토해 범행 일시와 장소를 특정했다.

이에 검찰은 A씨가 평소 자신을‘삼촌’이라 부르며 따르던 B씨를 심리적으로 지배해 이른바 '길들이기(그루밍)' 수법으로 수차례 성폭행한 사실과 추가로 B씨를 성폭행한 사실이 있다는 것을 밝혀냈다.
