4일 안양시 경기게임마이스터고에서 열린 행사에는 탁용석 경콘진 원장,루디 선글라스김상진 미래산업본부장과 정대식 경기게임마이스터고 교장,루디 선글라스김병천 교감 및 재학생 6명이 참석해 업무 협약을 체결하고 게임 분야 교육 현장의 의견을 나누기 위한 간담회를 가졌다.

경콘진에 따르면 이번 업무 협약을 통해 올 하반기부터 경콘진의 '민관협력 FGT/QA 지원 사업'에 경기게임마이스터고 학생들이 참여한다.

이 사업은 경기글로벌게임센터의 지원을 받는 중소 개발사의 게임을 출시 전에 검수해 주는 사업으로 이 사업을 통해 학생들은 게임 개발의 중요한 단계인 품질 관리 경험을 쌓고,루디 선글라스인력난을 겪는 중소 개발사들은 게임의 완성도를 높일 수 있다.

향후 해당 기업 취업으로 연결될 가능성도 높아져 경기도 게임 산업 생태계에 긍정적인 효과를 불러올 것으로 기대된다.

협약식에 이어 간담회에서는 현장에서 활동하는 교사와 게임 분야 진로를 꿈꾸는 학생들이 목소리를 냈다.재학생들은 게임 분야 취·창업 고민을 말하고,루디 선글라스진로 탐색에 도움이 될만한 프로그램 아이디어들을 제시했다.이와 함께 교사들은 교육 현장에서 필요로 하는 지원과 다양한 기관 협력 방안을 제시했다.

탁용석 경콘진 원장은 "엔데믹 이후 게임 분야 성장 둔화가 학생들의 취·창업에 적지 않은 영향을 미쳤을 것이다"라며,루디 선글라스"교육 현장에서 필요로 하는 부분을 파악해 경콘진 지원 사업에도 반영될 수 있도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
