앞서 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회(과방위)는 현안 질의를 위해 오늘(25일) 전체회의에 서 대표를 참고인 자격으로 부르기로 했다.

이에 대해 서 대표는 본지와의 전화 인터뷰에서 "(전체회의 출석에 대해) 검토 중"이라고 밝혔고,월드컵 찾은 마라도나최종 불참을 결정한 것으로 전해졌다.스테이지엑스 관계자는 "오는 27일 주파수 할당 대상 법인 취소 예정에 따른 청문 준비로 서 대표의 과방위 참석이 어려워졌다"고 밝혔다.

이날 오후 2시 과방위 전체회의는 예정대로 개최된다.과학기술정보통신부의 이종호 장관과 강도현 2차관 등이 출석한다.야권은 이들에게 제4 이통사 선정 과정에 대해 질의할 것으로 보인다.

더불어민주당·조국혁신당 등 과방위 소속 야당 위원들은 제4 이통사 출범 무산 위기에 대해 정부 책임론을 주장하고 있다.이들은 정부가 제4 이통사 사업자 선정을 밀어붙인 배경을 파악하고,월드컵 찾은 마라도나스테이지엑스의 재정적·기술적 능력에 대한 검증이 사전에 이뤄졌는지 추궁할 계획이다.

한편 최수연 네이버 대표도 이날 전체회의에 참고인 자격으로 참석하지 않을 전망이다.야권은 이른바 '라인야후 사태'와 관련해 최 대표를 상대로 질의할 계획이었다.
