경기 양주시의 한 태권도장에서 5살 아동을 심정지 상태에 빠트린 30대 관장에 대해 경찰이 구속영장을 신청했습니다.

태권도장 관장인 30대 남성 A 씨는 아동학대범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법상 아동학대 중상해 혐의를 받습니다.

A 씨는 어제(12일) 저녁 7시 20분쯤 양주시 덕계동의 한 태권도장에서 매트를 말아놓고 그사이에 5살 B 군을 거꾸로 넣은 채 10분 이상 방치해 중태에 빠지게 한 것으로 알려졌습니다.

A 씨는 B 군이 숨을 쉬지 않자 같은 건물 아래층에 있는 의원으로 옮겼고,회복되지 않자 의원에서 119에 신고했습니다.

소방 당국이 출동했을 당시 B 군은 청색증을 보이며 호흡과 맥박이 없는 상태였고,동행복권 나의로또번호심폐소생술(CPR)을 받으며 병원으로 이송됐습니다.

현재까지도 B 군은 의식을 회복하지 못하고 있으며 중환자실에서 치료받고 있습니다.

해당 태권도장은 유치부 전용반을 운영해 왔고,당시 다른 아이들도 함께 수업 중이었던 것으로 알려졌습니다.

경찰은 A 씨가 B 군을 무리하게 방치하는 등 아동학대 정황을 확인하고 그를 현장에서 긴급체포했습니다.

또 경찰은 A 씨가 B 군이 병원으로 이송된 이후 자신의 범행 장면이 담긴 태권도장 CCTV 영상을 삭제한 정황도 파악했습니다.

A 씨는 경찰 조사에서 "장난으로 그랬다"며 아동학대 혐의에 대해선 부인하고 있는 것으로 전해졌습니다.

경찰 관계자는 "피의자가 이전에도 A 군을 학대한 정황이 있다는 목격자 진술을 확보했다"며 "CCTV에 대해 포렌식을 진행하고 추가 범행이 있는지 조사를 이어갈 방침"이라고 말했습니다.

A 씨에 대한 구속 전 피의자 심문(영장실질심사)은 14일 의정부지법에서 열릴 예정입니다.
