31명의 사상자를 낸 화성 아리셀 화재와 관련해 경찰과 노동 당국이 조만간 피의자를 소환할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.

아리셀 공장 화재사고 지역사고수습본부의 민길수 본부장(중부고용노동청장)은 화성시청 상황실에서 브리핑을 열고 사고 관련 수사상황 등을 전했습니다.

당국은 지난달 24일 참사 이후 2차 사고를 막기 위해 화재가 발생한 사업장 3동에 남아 있던 폐전해액 1천200리터를 지난달 27일 반출한 데 이어 지난 1일에는 리튬 원재료 1천685㎏을 현장 밖으로 반출했습니다.

이후 지난 2일과 3일 관계부처가 함께 사업장 11개 동 전체에 위험물질을 조사한 결과 사업장 내에 리튬 원재료 등 위험물질이 일부 남아 있는 것을 확인했다며 전문처리업체를 지정해 신속히 반출할 계획이라고 민 본부장은 밝혔습니다.

그는 반출과정에서 작업계획서를 검토해 위험물을 처리하는 작업자들이 안전하게 작업할 수 있도록 하겠다고 말했습니다.

앞서 고용노동부는 이번 사고와 관련해 산업안전보건법에 따라 아리셀과 인력공급업체 메이셀에 대한 특별감독을 어제(3일) 개시했습니다.
