[서울=뉴시스] 이수지 기자 = 국가유산청 국립문화유산연구원은 여름방학을 맞아 오는 8월6일 '2024년 주니어닥터 체험교실'을 진행한다.

올해로 17회를 맞는 주니어닥터는 한국기초과학지원연구원이 주관하고 대덕연구개발특구의 여러 과학기관들이 참여해 진행하는 프로그램이다.

전국 청소년들이 과학에 대한 관심과 흥미를 키울 수 있도록 과학기술 체험형 프로그램으로 구성된다.

이번 체험교실에는 '그림이 된 돌과 흙'과 '천덕꾸러기가 된 흰개미' 등 두 프로그램으로 진행된다.

'그림이 된 돌'에서는 참가자들이 색이 있는 돌과 흙이 안료가 되는 과정을 이해하고 천연안료로 그림을 그려본다.

'천덕꾸러기가 된 흰개미'에서는 목조 문화유산에 생물피해를 일으키는 흰개미를 관찰하고 손상된 나무의 피해 흔적을 살펴본다.

체험교실은 10일부터 오는 16일까지 주니어닥터 웹사이트에서 사전 신청할 수 있다.

신청자 중 당첨된 16명이 참가할 수 있다.당첨자 발표는 오는 18일 오후 2시다.
