A씨는 지난해 12월18일 오후 6시부터 이튿날 오전 1시30분까지 원주시 자기 집에서 친딸인 C양(17)의 뺨을 여러차례 때리고 B씨는 스마트폰 케이스 모서리로 C양의 눈 밑 부위와 콧등을 때려 전치 3주의 상해를 입힌 혐의로 기소됐다.

A씨 등은 C양이 같은 해 12월 16일부터 18일까지 사흘간 학교 선생님과 함께 있는 것처럼 자신들을 속이고 외박을 한 사실을 알게 되자 격분한 나머지 귀가한 딸을 상대로 이 같은 일을 저지른 것으로 드러났다.

피해 직후 C양은 청소년 상담 전화에 이어 등교 후 학교 측에 피해 사실을 각각 알렸다.
