효성중공업은 노르웨이 국영 송전청 스타트넷(Statnett)과 총 3,플레이 슬롯300억 원 규모의 420㎸(킬로볼트) 초고압 변압기를 공급 계약했다고 8일 밝혔다.이는 노르웨이 신재생에너지 전력망 확충과 노후화된 설비 교체를 위한 것으로 회사 측은 2029년까지 해당 물량을 차례로 공급할 예정이다.

효성중공업은 현재 노르웨이 초고압변압기 시장에서 80%의 시장점유율을 차지하고 있다고 밝혔다.2023년에도 1,플레이 슬롯300억 원 규모 420㎸ 초고압 변압기를 수주했다.

이 회사는 2010년 국내 기업 최초로 영국 전력청의 초고압 변압기 주 공급자로 뽑히며 유럽 시장에 나갔다.이후 스웨덴,플레이 슬롯아이슬란드,핀란드,플레이 슬롯프랑스 등에서 초고압전력기기 수주 계약을 따내며 보폭을 넓혔다.

이날 노르웨이 초고압 변압기 수주 소식에 효성중공업 주가도 들썩였다.효성중공업 종가는 33만1,000원으로 전날보다 6.6% 올랐다.

우태희 효성중공업 대표이사는 "유럽 시장에서 효성중공업의 기술력과 품질을 인정받은 만큼 이를 기반으로 전 세계 시장에서 영향력을 더 높여가겠다"고 말했다.
