KB국민은행이 KB스타뱅킹 앱에서 안면인식 기술을 활용한 스마트패스 서비스를 시작했다고 3일 밝혔다.

스마트패스는 안면 및 여권 정보를 사전 등록해 인천국제공항 출국장과 탑승구에서 여권과 탑승권 없이 안면인식만으로 신속하게 통과할 수 있는 서비스다.기존에는 인천국제공항공사의 스마트패스 앱에서만 가능했으나 지난 5월 KB국민은행과 인천국제공항공사가 업무협약을 맺으면서 민간 앱 최초로 KB스타뱅킹에서도 스마트패스 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 됐다.

KB스타뱅킹 국민지갑에서 얼굴과 여권 정보를 사전 등록해 놓으면 된다.안면 정보의 실시간 일치 여부 및 자녀 스마트패스 등록 시 전자증명서를 이용한 가족관계 정보 확인이 가능해져 서비스 이용의 안전성도 한층 강화됐다.

KB국민은행 관계자는 "앞으로도 인천국제공항공사를 비롯한 여러 기관과의 협력을 바탕으로 금융부터 일상생활에 이르기까지 다양한 영역의 서비스를 확대하며 새로운 생활금융 모델을 발전시켜 나가겠다"고 말했다.
