(전주=연합뉴스) 나보배 기자 = 전북 전주덕진경찰서는 음주운전 사고로 10대 운전자를 숨지게 한 혐의(교통사고처리특례법상 치사 등)로 50대 A씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했다고 1일 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난달 27일 오전 0시 45분께 전주시 덕진구 여의동 호남제일문 사거리에서 술을 마신 채 포르쉐 승용차를 몰다가 스파크 승용차를 들이받아 운전자 B(19)씨를 숨지게 한 혐의를 받고 있다.

스파크 조수석에 타고 있던 B씨 지인도 크게 다쳐 병원에서 치료받고 있다.

경찰 조사 결과 당시 A씨의 혈중알코올농도는 면허취소 수치 기준인 0.08％ 이상의 만취 상태였다.

A씨는 일반도로에서 시속 159㎞로 과속을 하다가 좌회전하던 스파크와 충돌했던 것으로 확인됐다.

B씨 등은 인근에서 운전 연습을 한 뒤 귀가하던 중에 사고를 당했다.

경찰 관계자는 "A씨가 조사 과정에서 과속 음주운전 혐의를 인정했다"며 "음주 사망사고를 낸 만큼 죄질이 나쁘다고 보고 구속영장을 신청했다"고 말했다.
