용인대정문 삼거리 200m 구간…국공유지 활용

[용인=뉴시스] 이준구 기자 = 용인특례시는 처인구 삼가동 학고개터널에서 용인대정문 삼거리까지 200m 구간의 직진차로를 2개로 늘려 교통정체현상을 개선한다고 13일 밝혔다.

이동·남사읍 쪽에서 시청 방면으로 이어지는 지방도 321호선의 앞·뒤 구간은 2개 차로다.하지만 이 구간만 1개 차로밖에 없어 병목현상이 나타나 출퇴근 시간 상습 정체를 빚었다.안전사고 위험도 컸다.

시는 원활한 차량 흐름과 교통안전을 위해 인근 국공유지를 활용,팬스온리이 구간 차로를 2개로 늘리는 공사를 지난 3월부터 5월까지 실시했다.또 노면 도색을 하고 미끄럼방지턱,팬스온리도로표지병 등의 교통안전시설물을 설치했다.

안병욱 용인시 교통개선팀장은 "도로를 확장하기 위해선 많은 비용과 시간이 들지만 국공유지를 활용해 단기간에 병목 구간을 해소했다"며 "이 구간 도로가 왕복 4개 차로로 넓어져 이동·남사읍 일대에서 시청 방면으로 이동하는 차량 흐름이 더 원활해질 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다．
