20대 남성이 한 아파트 운동센터 화장실을 이용했다가 억울한 일을 당했다는 사연이 알려지면서 당시 경찰의 언행이 문제가 되고 있다.

27일 여러 온라인 커뮤니티에 따르면 A 씨는 지난 24일 경기도의 한 아파트 헬스장에서 운동하던 중 화장실을 이용했다가 다음 날 경찰 수사를 받게 됐다.

전날 헬스장 화장실을 이용한 여성이 '누가 자신을 훔쳐보고 있다'고 신고,폐쇄회로(CC)TV 확인 결과 A 씨가 용의자로 특정됐기 때문이다.

A 씨는 자신의 범죄행위가 명확히 확인되지 않은 상태였음에도 경찰이 자신을 범죄자로 잠정적 확정을 지으며 반말로 일관했다고 주장했다.

게시글에서 A 씨는 "아파트 헬스장 화장실은 남녀가 구분돼 있고,행복일등복권남자 화장실에는 소변기가 있어 착각할 수도 없다"면서 "모르는 일이라고 해도 경찰은 이미 나를 범죄자인 것처럼 무시하고 반말했다"고 주장했다.

A 씨는 경찰과의 대화가 녹취된 파일을 공개했다.녹취 속 경찰은 A 씨를 향해 "학생이야?군인이야?",행복일등복권"(신분증 꺼내는 과정에서) 천천히 꺼내도 돼.왜 손을 떨어"라고 했다.

사건을 조사 중인 해당 경찰서는 해당 사건이 논란이 되면서 이 경찰관에 대해 조사 중인 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰 관계자는 "경찰 태도에 대해서는 조사 중"이라며 "(A 씨가) 아직 피의자 단계가 아니기 때문에 객관적 자료를 바탕으로 억울한 일이 생기지 않도록 철저하게 살펴볼 예정"이라고 했다.
