(서울=연합뉴스) 김보경 기자 = 현대차그룹은 미국 시장조사기업 제이디파워가 발표한 '2024년 신차품질조사(IQS)'에서 글로벌 15개 자동차 그룹사 중 종합평가 1위를 차지했다고 28일 밝혔다.

올해로 38회째를 맞는 제이디파워 신차품질조사는 고객이 차량 구입 후 3개월 동안 경험한 품질 불만 사례를 집계해 100대당 불만 건수를 점수로 나타낸다.점수가 낮을수록 품질 만족도가 높다는 뜻이다.

올해 조사는 일반 브랜드 17개,고급 브랜드 14개 등 총 31개 브랜드를 대상으로 지난해 4월부터 올해 2월까지 고객 10만명을 대상으로 227개 항목 설문을 진행해 이뤄졌다.

현대차그룹은 글로벌 15개 자동차그룹 중 가장 낮은 평균 점수인 164점을 기록,닛산(168점)과 제너럴모터스(172점)를 제치고 1위에 올랐다.

현대차는 162점을 기록하며 램(149점),카지노 게임 벳위즈쉐보레(160점)에 이어 일반 브랜드 및 전체 브랜드 기준 3위를 차지했다.기아는 163점으로 현대차에 이어 4위에 랭크됐다.

고급 브랜드에서는 제네시스는 184점으로 3위에 올랐다.

차급별 평가에서도 기아 K3(현지명 포르테)가 2019년 이후 6년 연속 준중형 세단 1위를 차지했다.

이어 기아 카니발이 2년 연속 미니밴 1위,카지노 게임 벳위즈제네시스 G80이 4년 연속 준대형 프리미엄 세단 1위,현대차 싼타크루즈가 중형 픽업트럭에서 1위에 올랐다.이들 4개 차종은 '최우수 품질상'도 받았다.

현대차그룹 관계자는 "미국 소비자의 긍정적인 반응을 바탕으로 앞으로도 지속적인 품질 향상과 혁신을 통해 우수한 품질의 차량을 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
