윤석열 대통령의 탄핵소추안 발의를 요청하는 국회 국민동의청원이 100만명 이상의 동의를 얻었다.

3일 오전 10시 30분 기준 국민동의청원에 올라온 '윤석열 대통령 탄핵소추안 즉각 발의 요청에 관한 청원' 동의가 100만 21명의 동의수를 기록했다.

탄핵 동의가 100만명을 넘어섰다는 소식에 누리꾼들이 더 몰려들면서 이날 10시 50분쯤 국민동의청원사이트는 마비되기도 했다.

청원이 이미 5만명 이상 동의를 받은 만큼 소관 상임위인 법제사법위 청원심사소위는 이번 청원을 심사해야 한다.

30일 이내에 5만명 이상이 동의한 청원은 소관 상임위의 청원심사소위로 회부되고 심사 결과 청원의 타당성이 인정되면 이를 본회의에 부의할 수 있다.

본회의까지 통과한 청원은 정부로 이송되고 정부는 해당 청원에 대한 처리 결과를 국회에 보고해야한다.

현재 청원심사소위는 김용민 의원 등 민주당 의원과 유상범 국민의힘 의원 등 5명으로 구성돼 있다.야당 의원이 다수인 데다 법사위원장 직도 민주당이 맡고 있는 만큼 청원을 본회의에 부의할 가능성도 크다.

다만 대통령실은 탄핵은 어려울 것이라는 입장이다.

대통령실 관계자는 지난 2일 탄핵 청원과 관련해 "명백한 위법 사항이 있지 않는 한 탄핵이 가능하다고 보지 않는다"며 "정치적으로 탄핵을 계속 언급하면서 우리 국정이 잘 진행될 수 없게 되는 이런 상황이 온 것 같다"고 말했다.
