레드닷 디자인 어워드는 독일 국제포럼 디자인 하노버에서 주최하는 세계 최고 권위의 디자인 시상식이다.'제품 디자인','브랜드&커뮤니케이션 디자인','디자인 콘셉트' 등 3개 부문에서 산업 제품의 디자인과 품질,기능,토토 사이트 검거 히 츠벳친환경성 등 다양한 요소들을 종합적으로 평가해 분야별 수상작을 선정한다.

이번 수상작 '업사이클 롱보드'는 업사이클링 프로젝트 '리무브'를 통해 탄생한 성과물로,지속가능한 자원 순환을 위해 타이어를 재활용해 개발한 모델이다.ESG 경영 활동의 일환으로 진행된 '리무브' 프로젝트는 폐기물을 '치운다'라는 의미를 넘어 '재활용해 다시 달릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다'는 한국타이어의 의지가 담겨 있다.

업사이클 롱보드의 중앙 데크에는 타이어 재활용 고무 시트가 들어가 있어,노면과의 충격을 완화하고 소음,잔떨림 등을 감소시켜 편안한 주행이 가능한 점이 특징이다.기존 롱보드 대비 길어진 킥과 휠베이스를 바탕으로 설계해 초보자도 쉽게 주행할 수 있도록 기능성도 강화했다.

디자인 측면으로는 롱보드 상판에 타이어 트레드 패턴과 블록을 연상시키는 그립 테이프를 부착했다.하판은 '포뮬러 E','아이온','한국' 등 한국타이어의 브랜드 아이덴티티를 나타내는 그래픽과 컬러를 더했다.이와 함께,업사이클 롱보드의 바퀴는 캘리포니아 소재 생명과학 회사 '체커스팟'과 공동 개발한 친환경 해조 오일이 함유된 바이오 폴리우레탄을 적용해 친환경적 가치를 높였다.
