오늘은 제79주년 광복절입니다.

광주와 전남에서도 그날의 감격과 의미를 되새기는 기념 행사가 곳곳에서 열렸는데요.

김애린 기자가 현장에 다녀왔습니다.

[리포트]

독립운동을 위해 러시아 연해주와 북간도로 떠난 선조들의 후손이 모여사는 광주 고려인 마을!

시민들이 태극기를 상징하는 붉은색과 푸른색 비옷을 입고 한 데 모였습니다.

79년 전 울려퍼졌던 구호를 외치며 거리 행진을 시작합니다.

["대한독립만세!"]

골목 귀퉁이에서 일본군을 맞딱드리자 물총 세례를 퍼붓습니다.

1920년 홍범도 장군이 중국 지린성에서 일본군을 상대로 대승을 거둔 '봉오동 전투'를 물총놀이 형식으로 재해석한겁니다.

고려인 후손들은 물론 어린 학생들까지 역사 속 사건을 놀이로 체험하며 광복의 의미를 되새깁니다.

[김정원/광주대성여고 2학년 : "평소에는 이런 행사에 참여할 기회가 없어가지고 먼 일처럼 느껴지고 그랬는데 봉오동 전투에 대한 설명도 듣고 직접 참여도 해보면서 약간 가까운 역사구나 이런 걸 느꼈습니다."]

고려인 마을 봉오동 전투 재현 행사는 지난해에 이어 올해 두번째로 개최되는데요.

올해에는 지난해보다 많은 5백여 명의 시민들이 참여했습니다.

이른 아침부터 공원에 모인 사람들.

준비운동을 하며 잠들었던 몸을 깨웁니다.

대한주택관리사협회 광주시회 회원들이 광복절을 맞아 8.15km 달리기로 한겁니다.

["광복절!만세!출발!"]

지난 5월,야구 갑을지5.18민주화운동 기념일에 5.18km를 달린 데 이어 두번째 행사입니다.

[강금희/주택관리사 : "8.15km 달리면서 숭고한 항일정신과 광복의 의미를 더욱더 기억하는 새로운 시간을 갖고자 이렇게 다시 모였습니다."]

뜻깊은 광복절,야구 갑을지시민들은 저마다의 방식으로 79년 전 주권을 되찾은 기쁨을 되새겼습니다.
