[용인=뉴시스]금연구역 확대 안내 홍보물

[용인=뉴시스] 이준구 기자 = 국민건강증진법 개정에 따라 다음달 17일부터 어린이집과 유치원,한국복권데이터초·중·고등학교 주변 금연 구역이 확대된다.

이에 따라 시설 경계선으로부터 10m였던 어린이집과 유치원의 금연 구역이 30m로 확대된다.초·중·고등학교는 시설 경계선 30m 이내로 금연 구역이 추가로 설정된다.

또한,한국복권데이터기존 시 조례에 따라 학교 출입문부터 반경 50m 이내(절대 보호구역)로 설정된 금연 구역은 그대로 유지된다.

용인특례시 처인·기흥·수지보건소는 금연 제도의 변경과 시민의 금연 인식을 높이기 위해 금연 표지판 부착과 현수막 설치 등을 통해 홍보하고 있다.

보건소 관계자는 “법 개정에 따른 금연 구역이 확대된 사실을 알리고 현장 지도를 하고 있다.금연 구역 내 흡연 시 5만원에서 최대 10만원까지의 과태료가 부과될 수 있다”며 “아동과 청소년이 담배 연기 없는 환경에서 교육받을 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
