카뱅 달러박스는 일상에서 달러를 사용할 수 있도록 환전과 결제,등 다양한 외환 서비스를 종합한 상품이다.카뱅은 은행권의 외환시장 관련 경쟁이 치열해지는 가운데 '달러'에 집중했다.오보현 카뱅 서비스 오너(SO)는 "달러박스로 가장 많이 쓰지만 친숙하지 않은 외화인 달러를 일상에서 사용하는 트렌드를 만들어보고 싶다"고 말했다.

지난 2017년 출범 당시 카뱅은 5만원 수준이던 해외 송금수수료를 최소 5000원으로 줄였다.해외송금에서 확인한 혁신성을 환전과 '달러 사용'으로 이어간다는 구상이다.

달러박스는 카뱅 입출금 계좌를 가진 만 19세 이상 금융소비자라면 누구나 1인당 1개씩 만들 수 있다.달러박스의 최대 한도는 1만 달러로 일 최대 입금액과 출금액은 각각 5000달러,홍콩 브랜디멜빌1만 달러다.달러를 입금하거나 원화로 출금 할 때 수수료는 365일 24시간 언제나 면제다.

달러박스로 일상에서 모은 달러는 해외여행에서 '트래블월렛' 앱을 이용해 쓸 수 있다.달러박스에서 '트래블월렛 충전하기' 페이지에서 통화 종류 및 금액을 충전할 수 있다.유럽,홍콩 브랜디멜빌아시아,북미 등 전세계 총 70개국에서 자유롭게 이용할 수 있다.
