[전주MBC 자료사진] 전국에 폐지수집 노인이 1만 5천여 명에 달하는 것으로 나타났습니다.

보건복지부는 오늘(9일) '폐지수집 노인 지방자치단체 전수조사' 결과를 발표했습니다.

전수조사 결과,전국 229개 시군구에서 폐지수집 노인은 1만 4천831명으로 집계됐습니다.

지역별로 보면,서울의 폐지수집 노인이 2천530명으로 가장 많았습니다.

이어 경기 2천511명,경남 1천540명,부산 1천280명 순이었습니다.

전북은 698명이었습니다.

조사 대상자들의 평균 연령은 78.1세였습니다.

80∼84세의 비중이 28.2%로 가장 높았고,이어 75∼79세가 25.2%,야구 골든글러브 시상식70∼74세가 17.6%였습니다.

65세 이상 폐지수집 노인 가운데 기초생활보장 수급자는 4천219명이었습니다.

폐지수집 노인의 평균 소득은 기초연금 등을 모두 합쳐 월 76만 6천 원이었습니다.

소득 구간별로는 50~60만 원 미만 비중이 23.9%로 가장 높았습니다.

다음으로 70~80만 원 미만(13.9%),60~70만 원 미만(13.3%) 순이었습니다.

재산 구간별로는 2천500만 원 미만이 25.2%로 가장 높았습니다.

이어 5천만 원~1억 원 미만(19.9%),야구 골든글러브 시상식1억 원~1억 5천만 원 미만(13.7%) 순이었습니다.

복지부가 폐지수집 노인 지원대책의 일환으로 실시한 노인일자리 사업에는 4천787명이 참여했습니다.

복지부는 폐지수집 노인을 위해 노인일자리 사업을 연계하고 누락된 보건복지 서비스를 지원할 방침입니다.
