(세종=뉴스1) 이철 기자 = 정부가 '유튜브 뮤직 끼워팔기' 의혹을 받는 구글에 대한 조사를 마무리하고 제재 절차에 착수했다.

8일 관계 부처에 따르면 공정거래위원회는 최근 구글의 '독점규제 및 공정거래에 관한 법률'(공정거래법) 위반 의혹에 대해 제재 의견을 담은 심사보고서(검찰의 공소장 격)를 발송했다.

구글은 유튜브를 광고 없이 볼 수 있는 '유튜브 프리미엄'과 음악 스트리밍 서비스인 '유튜브 뮤직'을 함께 판매했다.

공정위는 구글의 행위가 유튜브를 이용해 음악 스트리밍 시장으로 지배력을 전이한 것으로 보고 있다.

공정위는 이와 관련해 지난해 초 구글코리아를 상대로 현장 조사를 벌이기도 했다.

한기정 위원장은 지난달 기자간담회에서 "구글이 유튜브 프리미엄에 유튜브 뮤직을 끼워 판 행위와 관련해 7월에 조사를 마무리할 예정"이라고 밝힌 바 있다.

공정위는 조만간 전원회의를 열고 제재 여부와 수위를 결정할 예정이다.
