[파주=뉴시스] 파주시청사.(사진=파주시 제공) [파주=뉴시스] 송주현 기자 = 경기 파주시는 행정안전부의 '2024 재난관리평가'에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 10일 밝혔다.

시는 행정안전부 기관 표창과 함께 특별교부세 8800만원을 확보했다.

재난관리평가는 '재난 및 안전관리 기본법'에 따라 행정안전부가 중앙부처,중앙역 로또지방자치단체,중앙역 로또공공기관 등 총 338개 재난관리책임기관을 대상으로 기관별 재난관리 역량을 평가하는 제도다.

시는 재난 및 안전사고 대처 능력 향상을 위해 국민안전체험관을 유치하고 어린이와 청소년들을 대상으로 안전교육을 실시하는 등 재난·안전에 노력해 왔다.

이번 평가에서 재난 예방,중앙역 로또대비,중앙역 로또대응 등에서 높은 평가를 받았으며 특히 기관장 인터뷰와 재난 상황관리를 위한 대응체계 유지 등의 항목에서 우수한 성적을 받았다.

김경일 파주시장은 "파주시가 재난관리평가에서 우수기관으로 선정된 것은 재난관리 역량 강화를 위해 끊임없이 노력해 온 결과"라며 "더욱 안전한 파주시를 조성하기 위해 평가 결과에 만족하지 않고 재난관리체계를 정비해 재난관리의 사각지대를 해소하겠다"고 말했다.
