[앵커]

최근 코로나19 확산세가 무섭습니다.

코로나19 입원환자 수는 이미 올해 최고 수준을 돌파했고 치료제 품귀현상까지 벌어지고 있습니다.

정부는 다시 마스크 착용 등을 강하게 권고하는 한편,7ㅡㅡㅅㅍ추가 확보한 치료제를 이번 주부터 순차 공급하기로 했습니다.

박민경 기자가 보도합니다.

[리포트]

무더위 속에 코로나19 바이러스가 더욱 기승을 부리고 있습니다.

질병관리청이 전국 220개 의료기관을 표본감시한 결과,코로나19 입원 환자는 6월 말부터 계속 늘어나고 있습니다.

특히 지난주인 8월 둘째 주에는 올해 최고치인 천3백 명을 돌파했습니다.

새로운 KP.3 변이 때문인데,7ㅡㅡㅅㅍ과거 유행 사례에 비춰볼 때 앞으로 환자가 더 늘어날 것이라는 게 질병청 분석입니다.

정부는 코로나19 민관협의체를 구성하고 감염 예방 수칙을 강조했습니다.

먼저,일상 생활에서 손 씻기와 마스크 착용,기침 예절 등 기본 예방 수칙을 준수하고,특히 의료기관과 감염취약시설 등을 방문할 때에는 반드시 마스크를 착용하라고 권고했습니다.

[이재갑/한림대 강남성심병원 감염내과 교수 : "(유행이 이어지면)의료기관이나 취약시설 내에서 환자 발생이 늘어나게 되거든요.반드시 마스크를 써주셔야 면역력이 떨어져 있는 환자분들을 보호할 수 있습니다."]

또 감염되면 다른 사람을 위해 마스크를 착용하고,7ㅡㅡㅅㅍ증상이 심하면 집에서 쉴 수 있는 분위기를 직장에서 조성해달라고 밝혔습니다.

품귀 현상을 빚었던 코로나19 치료제는 추가 공급됩니다.

[홍정익/질병관리청 감염병정책국장 : "이번 주부터 순차적으로 추가 확보한 치료제가 공급되기 시작하고 8월 말까지는 전체 약국에 충분한 물량을…."]

질병청은 고위험군 환자에게 치료제가 우선 활용될 수 있도록 처방기준을 준수해달라고 의료기관에 당부했습니다.
