우주청,마드리드 날씨산업체·연구기관 발표

한컴스페이스 등 큐브위성 탑재

내년 하반기 누리호 4차 발사와 함께 우주를 향해 날아갈 성능검증위성 6기가 최종 선정됐다.

우주항공청과 한국항공우주연구원은 누리호 4차 발사에 탑재될 부탑재위성으로 6기의 큐브위성(3U 3기,마드리드 날씨6U 3기)을 탑재키로 했다고 11일 밝혔다.

1U은 가로·세로·높이가 각각 10㎝인 정육면체 크기의 위성을 뜻한다.

선정된 부탑재위성 중 6U 큐브위성은 △우주에서 우주제약 시험을 목표로 하는 스페이스린텍의 'BEE-1000' △공공활용을 위한 다분광 영상촬영용 위성인 한컴인스페이스의 '세종4호' △Pre-6G 사물인터넷 비정상네트워크(IoT-NTN) 탑재체 기술 검증을 위한 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI)의 'ETRISat' 등 3기다.3U 큐브위성은 △위성 폐기장치 시험과 우주탐사용 부품 검증을 목적으로 하는 우주로테크의 'COSMIC' △지구관측영상 획득을 위한 코스모웍스의 'JACK 3호' △JACK4호 등 3기다.6기 위성 외에 국내 대학에서 개발하고 있는 큐브위성과 국산 소자·부품 검증을 위해 항우연이 개발하고 있는 국산 소자·부품 검증위성도 부탑재위성으로 함께 발사될 예정이다.

앞서 지난해 5월 발사된 누리호 3차 발사에서는 주탑재위성과 함께 한국천문연구원의 도요샛(6U 4기),루미르의 LUMIR-T1(6U 1기),마드리드 날씨카이로스페이스의 KSAT3U(3U 1기),져스텍의 JAC(3U 1기) 등 총 7기의 부탑재위성이 공모로 선정,마드리드 날씨발사된 바 있다.

현성윤 우주청 우주수송임무설계프로그램장은 "누리호 활용성 확대와 개발된 위성의 기술 검증,마드리드 날씨헤리티지 확보를 위해 지속적으로 큐브위성을 포함한 위성의 탑재 기회를 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
