박주민 국회 보건복지위원장과 야당 위원들이 서울대병원을 찾았습니다.

서울대병원 교수들의 집단 휴진을 하루 앞두고 병원 집행부와 교수협의회 비대위와 긴급 회동을 가진 겁니다.

비대위는 전공의에 대한 행정조치 취소와 상설 의정협의체 구성 등 기존 입장을 설명했습니다.

이에 대해 박 위원장은 요구 사항을 최대한 수용하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

또 오는 19일 복지부 장차관을 국회로 불러 의대 증원 과정의 문제점 등을 따져보겠다며 교수들을 달랬습니다.

"박주민 위원장은 이에 관해서 원칙적으로 협의체 구성에 찬성을 하는 입장이었고요.그리고 의대 정원을 의료계와 논의를 해야 한다는 것에도 뜻을 같이 했습니다."

하지만 서울대병원과 분당서울대병원 등 서울의대 산하 3개 병원은 예정대로 내일부터 휴진에 돌입합니다.

비대위는 오는 22일까지 전체 진료 교수 967명의 절반이 넘는 529명이 휴진에 참여할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 수술장 가동률은 62%에서 33%까지 떨어질 전망입니다.

강희경 서울의대 비대위원장은 오늘 병원장과 교수들에 메시지를 보내 “이번 휴진은 정책결정자들을 향한 외침”이라며 “중증·응급 환자들 진료에 차질이 없도록 신경 써 달라”고 요청했습니다.
