오늘(14일) 오후 경기도 용인에서 60대 운전자가 몰던 차량이 카페 건물로 돌진해 11명이 다쳤습니다.

카페를 그대로 관통할 정도로 충격이 컸는데,경찰 조사에서 운전자는 후진이라 생각했지만 차가 앞으로 나갔다고 진술한 것으로 전해졌습니다.

카페 밖 난간을 뚫고 나간 차 한 대가 바닥에 처박혀 있습니다.

카페 외벽 유리는 산산이 부서졌고.

카페 내부는 아수라장이 됐습니다.

[카페 직원/음성변조 : "카운터에 있는데 갑자기 뻥 소리가 나가지고 돌려다 보니까 이 상황이 생긴 거예요."]

사고가 난 건 오늘 오후 3시 10분쯤.

60대 여성이 몰던 차량이 갑자기 속도를 내며 카페로 돌진했습니다.

차량은 카페 반대편 난간 아래로 추락한 뒤에야 멈춰 섰습니다.

지금 이 현장에 보시면 차에서 튄 파편들,그리고 카페에서 쓰던 쟁반 같은 도구들이 그대로 남아있습니다.

차량이 카페를 그대로 뚫고 지나가면서 안에 있던 손님들을 덮쳐 모두 11명이 다쳤습니다.

3명은 크게 다친 것으로 전해졌습니다.

[목격자/음성변조 : "쫓아가 봤더니 난장판이 됐죠 뭐.그래서 일단 사람부터 부축해서 빼내고.119 올 때까지 우산 씌워주고 똑바로 뉘어 주고."]

운전자는 사고 당시 음주 상태는 아니었습니다.

경찰은 "주차 중에 후진이라고 생각했는데 차가 앞으로 나갔다"는 운전자 진술을 토대로 정확한 사고 경위를 조사하고 있습니다.
