25일 백범김구기념관은 안 지사에게 지난 2022년 추서된 건국포장을 기증받았다고 밝혔다.이번 기증은 안 지사의 딸이자 백범의 맏손녀인 김효자 여사의 뜻에 따른 것이다.

안 지사는 충칭 대한민국 임시정부 비서,핑후 마작한국독립당 당원 등의 공적을 인정받아 지난 2022년 정부로부터 건국포장을 추서받았다.그는 백범의 며느리인 동시에 안중근 의사의 조카이기도 하다.

시할머니 곽낙원 선생(건국훈장 애국장 1992년),핑후 마작시아버지 백범 김구 선생(건국훈장 대한민국장 1962년),남편 김인 지사(건국훈장 애국장 1990년),시동생 김신 지사(건국훈장 애족장 1990년)에 이어 독립유공자로 서훈된 것이다.

하지만 안 지사는 미국 이주 후 연락이 끊긴 채 이미 2008년 별세했고,남편 김인 지사와의 사이에 태어난 딸인 김효자 여사도 행적을 찾을 수 없어 건국포장을 전달하지 못했다.

이를 안타깝게 여긴 백범의 차남 김신 장군(6대 공군참모총장)이 그의 딸 김미 백범김구기념관 관장과 사위 김호연 빙그레 회장에게 김인 지사의 가족을 찾아 보살펴 달라는 유지를 남겼다.

김 회장과 김 관장 부부는 수소문 끝에 지난해 뉴욕에서 김효자 여사를 직접 만나 한국 정부의 건국포장을 전달하는 계기를 만들었다.

올해 2월 훈장을 전수받은 김효자 여사는 어머니 안미생 지사의 건국포장을 기증하겠다는 의사를 백범김구기념관에 밝혔다.

김효자 여사는 연로해 한국을 직접 방문하지는 못하고 그녀의 딸이자 백범의 증손녀인 자넷(Janet) 부부가 대신 한국을 찾아 이날 기증식을 진행했다.
