대학혁신지원사업은 대학별 자율혁신을 통한 체질 개선으로 양질의 대학교육과 미래 인재 양성을 위해 진행되는 교육부의 대표적인 대학재정지원사업이다.

제2주기(2022~2024) 대학혁신지원사업은 총 117개 대학이 참여하고 있으며,성과평가는 '교육혁신 성과(S/A/B/C 4개 등급)'와 '자체 성과관리(A/B/C 3개 등급)' 부문으로 나눠 진행됐다.

세종대는 '교육혁신 성과' 부문 최고 등급인 S등급을 획득했을뿐만 아니라 '자체 성과관리' 부문 역시 최고 등급인 A등급을 획득했다.

세종대는 21세기 초연결 디지털시대의 대학혁신 패러다임을 선도할 디지털리티와 아날로그를 아우르는 'The DigiLog Sejong형 인재양성'을 위한 미래형 교육모델 구축을 목표로,도쿄 카지노'중장기발전계획 Inno Vision 2030'을 수립하고 교육부 고등교육 혁신 정책방향을 반영해 교육혁신을 추진해왔다.

이번 평가에서는 ▲전주기 전공탐색 및 진로설계 체계 구축 ▲신입생을 위한 Academic Advisor 제도 도입 ▲DigiLog 인증제 운영 ▲내실있는 창의학기제 운영 등 유연한 학사 운영에 대한 전략적 대응이 우수한 점으로 꼽혔다.
