이번 협약에는 김기문 중소기업중앙회장,과일가게 메가웨이김관영 전북특별자치도지사,김경안 새만금개발청장,강임준 군산시장,김만겸 BS산업 대표이사가 참석했다.

협약 주요 내용은 전북특별자치도에서 준비 중인 지역활성화 투자펀드를 통한 ▲(중소기업중앙회) 개발사업에 대한 투자 및 중소기업계 참여 ▲(전북자치도 및 군산시) 개발사업의 성공적 추진을 위한 지원 ▲(새만금개발청) 개발사업에 대한 행정적 지원 ▲(BS산업) 개발사업 추진 제반사항 이행,지역경제 활성화를 위한 계획 수립 및 실천 등이다.

지역활성화 투자 펀드는 지난 3월 정부가 도입한 것으로,지역이 원하는 지속 가능한 대규모 융복합 프로젝트를 민간의 창의적 역량과 풍부한 자본을 활용해 추진하는 새로운 지역 투자 방식이다.

김기문 중기중앙회장은 “앞으로 새만금 개발사업의 지역활성화 투자펀드 선정에 대한 성공적인 추진과 함께 중소기업들이 좋은 조건으로 참여할 기회가 있을 것으로 기대한다”며 “새만금 개발 지역에 많은 중소기업이 입주할 수 있는 인프라 구축과 함께 외국인력 등 근로인력 관련 확보 등의 여건조성이 중요하다”고 말했다.
