오는 2027년도에 요양보호사가 7만9천 명가량 부족해질 것이란 전망이 나오자 정부가 외국인 일손을 투입하기로 했습니다.

보건복지부는 오늘(28일) 장기요양위원회를 열고 국내 대학 졸업 외국인 유학생과 재외동포의 요양보호 분야 취업을 허용하는 계획을 발표했습니다.

국내 대학을 졸업한 외국인 유학생은 요양보호사 자격 취득해 2년간 시범적으로 일할 수 있게 되고,대박마트복권방재외동포가 관련 자격을 취득할 경우 체류 기간이 연장됩니다.

정부는 요양보호사들의 평균 나이가 61.7세로 고령이어서 오는 2027년에는 7만9천 명가량이 부족한 상황에 놓일 것이라며 우수한 외국인력 도입이 필요하다고 설명했습니다.
