대한뇌졸중학회와 대한신경과학회는 15일 서울대병원 이건희홀에서 열린 '신경계 필수의료와 급성뇌졸중 인증의 제도' 공청회에서 뇌졸중 등 신경계 필수중증응급질환의 국내 현황을 발표하고 뇌졸중 안전망을 구축해 나가야 한다고 18일 밝혔다.

2022년 기준 상급종합병원 응급실에서 진료를 가장 많이 시행한 진료과는 신경과다.응급실을 찾는 환자 중 절반은 다른 과에서 해결하기 어렵거나 감별진단이 필요해 우선 신경과 진료를 받는다.

뇌졸중과 같은 신경계 질환은 골든타임 내 치료가 매우 중요하지만 정확한 신경학적 평가 및 검사가 필요해 의료진의 업무 부담이 크다.반면 상대적으로 보상체계는 크지 않아 뇌졸중 전문의,카지노 3회신경계 중환자 전문의가 줄어들고 있다.

뇌졸중학회는 뇌졸중 안전망을 강화하려면‘급성 뇌졸중 인증의 제도’가 필요하다고 강조했다.급성 뇌졸중 진료에서 전문적인 자격과 능력을 갖춘 신경과 의사를 인증하고 1년 365일 24시간 뇌졸중을 진료할 수 있는 인력을 확보하기 위한 제도다.

나정호 급성 뇌졸중 인증의 제도 특별위원회 위원장은 “뇌졸중은 골든타임 내 치료가 환자의 생명과 직결될 수 있다”며 “거주지역이 어디든 비슷한 수준의 급성기 치료를 받을 수 있어야 한다”고 말했다.

이어 “타 진료과를 보면 적절한 보상과 지원이 없을 때 인증의 제도가 장기적으로 유지되지 않는 경우가 많았다”며 “정부의 적극적인 지원이 필요하다”고 덧붙였다.
