정부가 일·생활 균형을 맞추기 위해 공휴일제도 개편에 나선다.날짜 중심이 아닌 요일 중심의 공휴일을 도입하는 등 휴일제도를 개선해,대구 경마장장시간 근로를 줄이고 휴게시간 선택권을 높여 노동생산성을 높이겠다는 취지다.

정부는 3일 하반기 경제정책방향과 역동경제 로드맵을 통해 이 같은 내용이 담긴 '일·생활 균형 제도 방안'을 발표했다.

기획재정부에 따르면 해외의 경우 요일제 공휴일 등을 통해 안정적인 휴일 수를 보장,대구 경마장내수 진작 효과를 보고 있다.이에 따라 국내서도 일·생활 균형 달성 및 노동생산성 제고를 위해 공휴일제도 개편이 필요하다는 게 기재부 설명이다.

기재부는 대체공휴일 추가 지정,대구 경마장요일제 공휴일 도입과 관련된 연구용역을 실시할 방침이다.날짜 중심의 공휴일제도로 인해 공휴일이 목요일인 경우 금요일 연차를 내야만 연휴가 가능했던 문제점을 해소하겠다는 목표다.

요일제 공휴일이 도입되면 광복절(8월 15일) 등 특정 날짜가 아닌 '월 ○번째 ○요일'로 공휴일이 지정된다.어린이날(5월 5일)과 한글날(10월 9일) 등이 요일제가 가능한 공휴일로 검토되고 있다.

기재부는 근무 시간 중 휴게시간을 유연하게 적용해 조기 퇴근이 가능해지고 업무 집중도를 높이는 방안도 찾을 계획이다.현재 근로기준법에 따르면 사용자는 근로 시간이 4시간이면 30분 이상,대구 경마장근로 시간이 8시간이면 1시간의 휴게시간을 근로자에게 부여해야 한다.

이러한 근로기준법으로 인해 4시간 근무 뒤 바로 퇴근하지 못하고 휴게시간을 이유로 30분 동안 기다렸다 퇴근하는 등의 문제가 발생한다는 점을 고려,대구 경마장근로자의 선택권을 높이고 제도를 탄력적으로 운용하는 방안을 검토 중이다.
