10일 뉴시스에 따르면 이날 제주서부경찰서는 특수상해 혐의로 40대 남성 A씨를 붙잡아 조사하고 있다고 밝혔다.

A씨는 이날 오전 5시쯤 자신의 제주시 소재 주거지에서 여자친구 B씨를 둔기로 여러 차례 폭행해 상해를 입히고,카지노 다시 보기병원 치료를 받고 싶다는 B씨를 2시간가량 감금한 혐의를 받는다.

그러다 A씨는 119에 '여자친구가 넘어져 머리를 다쳤다'라고 신고했다.

B씨는 119구급대에 의해 인근 병원 응급실로 이송된 뒤 의료진에 폭행 사실을 알렸다.병원 측 신고를 받고 출동한 경찰은 이날 오전 9시쯤 A씨를 긴급체포했다.

경찰은 정확한 사건 경위를 수사하는 한편 A씨에 대한 구속영장을 신청할 계획이다.
