[AP/뉴시스] 미 콜로라도주 자동차 딜러십 [서울=뉴시스] 김재영 기자 = 미국 인플레 지표 중 하나인 개인소비지출(PCE) 물가지수가 5월에 전월과 동일해 변동이 없었다고 28일 미 상무부가 발표했다.

이 같은 PCE 물가지수의 월간상승률 제로(0)는 전월의 0.3% 상승률에서 크게 낮아진 것이며 4년 래 최저폭에 해당된다.

12개월 누적의 연간 상승률인 PCE 연 인플레는 2.6%를 기록했다.

특히 에너지와 식품 부문을 제외한 근원치 통계에서 월간 변동률은 6개월 래 가장 낮은 0.1% 상승에 그쳤다.동시에 연간 상승률은 2.6%로 종합치와 같았는데 이는 3년 전 2021년 초 이후 가장 낮은 것이다.

'근원 PCE 연 인플레'가 2.6%라는 것으로 이것은 미 연준이 주목하는 핵심 인플레 지표다.전월 4월에는 2.8%였다.인플레 타깃 2%의 연준이 9월에 첫 기준금리 인하를 단행하는 데 도움이 되는 하락세다.

앞서 발표된 5월의 소비자물가지수(CPI)는 역시 월간변동률이 제로였고 연 인플레가 3.3%였다.

한편 개인과 가계의 민간 소비 전체를 아우르는 PCE의 규모는 미국서 GDP(국내총생산) 확대 및 경제성장과 관련해 크게 주목되는데 5월에 전월보다 0.2%가 증가했다.전월의 0.1%에서 커진 것이다.

PCE 규모는 미 GDP의 70%를 차지한다.5월의 연환산 PCE 규모는 19조3400억 달러(2경6600조원)였으며 상품이 6.24조 달러였고 서비스가 13.10조 달러였다.

PCE 규모 중 상품 위주의 소매상 매출은 열흘 전에 먼저 발표되었다.

개인소득 총액은 연환산 23.92조 달러였으며 가처분소득에서 총지출을 제외한 저축은 8061억 달러로 가처분 소득의 3.9%를 차지했다．
