(여수=뉴스1) 김동수 기자 = GS칼텍스는 9일 전남 여수시 소재 GS칼텍스 사랑나눔터에서 '무료급식 100만식 달성' 기념 행사를 진행했다.

행사에는 정기명 여수시장,백인숙 여수시의회 의장,강재헌 환경복지위원회 위원장,니코 윌리암스구민호 해양도시건설위원회 위원장,홍현숙 윤리특별위원회 위원장,김성민 GS칼텍스 생산본부장 CSEO(최고안전환경책임자),니코 윌리암스임직원 등 50명이 참석했다.

참석자들은 행사에서 취약 어르신 480명에게 전달될 '건강 반찬 꾸러미'를 만들었다.반찬 꾸러미는 여수시노인복지관과 주민센터 등에 전달될 예정이다.

무료급식 행사는 2008년부터 시작해 참여 봉사자 2만 2000명,사업비 49억 8000만 원,니코 윌리암스급식 100만식(현장배식 95만,반찬나눔 5만)을 달성했다.

김성민 GS칼텍스 생산본부장은 "GS칼텍스는 지자체 및 관계 기관과 함께 지역사회 어려운 이웃들을 살피고 지역 복지 실현을 위한 노력을 지속하겠다"고 말했다.
