항공사별 정비·운항 개선점 전달…안전 투자계획 보고

(세종=연합뉴스) 임성호 기자 = 국토교통부는 14일 서울 용산구 서울비즈센터에서 주종완 항공정책실장 주재로 11개 국적항공사 최고경영자(CEO)와 긴급 항공안전간담회를 열었다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 최근 빈번해진 항공기 고장·결함 및 장기 지연의 재발 방지를 위해 항공사들의 안전 경각심을 촉구하기 위해 열렸다.

최근 사례를 보면 지난 11일 티웨이항공 싱가포르발 인천행 항공편이 기체 점검을 이유로 약 21시간 지연됐으며,라이브스코어어플지난 6일 에어서울 도쿄발 인천행 항공편도 기체 점검 여파로 약 15시간 지연된 바 있다.

국토부는 이날 간담회에서 올해 상반기 항공안전감독을 통해 지적된 정비·운항 개선점을 각 항공사에 전달했다.

또 항공사별 하반기 중점 안전감독 방향을 제시했다.각 사의 항공기 고장 및 결함,라이브스코어어플종사자 과실로 인한 안전 위협 요인 등이 분석 기준이 됐다.

간담회에서는 엔데믹(풍토병화)으로 항공 수요가 늘어난 데 따른 안전관리 방향과 항공산업 발전 방안에 대한 논의도 이뤄졌다.

항공사들은 정비 역량 강화 대책과 여력기(대체 운항을 위한 항공기) 확보 등 항공기 고장과 지연에 대한 대비책과 노후 항공기 교체 등을 포함한 안전 투자계획을 보고했다.

주종완 국토부 항공정책실장은 "항공기 고장·결함 여부는 승객의 안전과 정시성을 지키는 데 중요한 요소 중 하나로,라이브스코어어플항공사는 정비체계의 개선을 통한 안전관리 강화를 더욱 완벽히 해야 할 것"이라며 "항공안전 강화와 산업 성장이 균형 있게 이뤄질 수 있도록 개선 조치도 면밀히 검토해 나갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.
