2004년 KTX 고속철이 개통할 때까지만 해도 우리는 프랑스에 기술을 의존해야만 했습니다.이후,20년 만에 우리는 고속철 수출국으로 도약했습니다.비약적인 발전의 원천은 역시 '기술력' 이었는데요.

우리 고속철의 성장 과정을 김창섭 기자가 전해드립니다.

지난 2004년 첫 운행을 시작한 KTX 고속철.프랑스 알스톰의 기술을 이전받아 만든 고속철도였습니다.

"이제 KTX의 개통으로 반나절 생활권이 되는 꿈의 네트워크시대가 실현됩니다"

이후 4년 만에 국내 독자기술로 KTX-산천을 개발하는데 성공했고,엠엘비파크 불펜세계 4번째 고속철 기술 보유국으로 올라섰습니다.

2012년에는 테스트용으로 만든 고속철이 시속 400km를 돌파하면서 일본의 신칸센,프랑스의 TGV 등과 어깨를 나란히 하는 수준이 됐습니다.

각 객차에 동력 장치가 있는 동력분산식 고속철 기술도 개발했는데,2021년 KTX-이음 운행을 시작했고,엠엘비파크 불펜올해엔 성능이 향상된 KTX-청룡도 선보였습니다.

동력분산식은 별도의 동력차가 앞뒤에 끄는 동력집중식에 비해 가속과 감속 능력이 뛰어나다는 평가를 받는데,엠엘비파크 불펜우즈벡에 수출하는 고속철도 동력분산식입니다.

KTX의 첫 해외수출로 우리는 중앙아시아뿐 아니라 폴란드,태국 등 해외 시장 진출을 위한 교두보를 마련했다는 평가가 나옵니다.
