日 닛케이 보도…"소프트뱅크 포함해 이달 말까지 1억3천만 달러 조달"

(도쿄=연합뉴스) 경수현 특파원 = 손정의(일본명 손 마사요시) 소프트뱅크그룹 회장의 동생인 손태장(손타이조) 미슬토 회장이 만드는 투자 펀드가 소프트뱅크그룹과 한국의 대기업 등으로부터 1억3천만달러(약 1천775억원)의 자금을 조달한다고 니혼게이자이신문(닛케이)이 16일 보도했다.

보도에 따르면 손태장 회장이 만드는 인공지능(AI) 스타트업 관련 투자 펀드는 이미 소프트뱅크그룹과 함께 SK네트웍스,다이스 포커LG전자,다이스 포커한화 금융 부문 등과 출자 계약을 맺고 이달 말까지 자금을 조달받기로 했다.

자금을 조달받는 펀드는 AI를 활용한 기술 기반으로 아시아 시장 진출에 의욕을 가진 스타트업 등에 투자하며 1개 사당 투자액은 500만∼2천만달러를 염두에 두고 있다.펀드 운용 기간은 10년이다.

연말까지 대만,다이스 포커인도네시아,베트남 등에서도 출자 기업을 모집해 조달 자금을 연말까지 2억달러 규모로 확대할 계획이다.

손태장 회장은 2023년 3월 싱가포르에서 벤처캐피털(VC) '디 에지 오브'를 공동 설립해 투자처를 발굴하고 있다.

디 에지 오브는 펀드에 출자하는 대기업 등의 AI 신사업 개시나 인수합병(M&A) 등도 뒷받침할 계획이라고 닛케이는 전했다.
