검정 후드티에 청바지 차림의 효성그룹 조현상 부회장.직원들과의 격의없는 대화로 새 지주사 'HS효성'의 출발을 알렸습니다.

조 부회장은 "주주와 고객의 이익을 최우선에 두겠다"며,톰 히튼'가치 경영'을 선언했습니다.

HS효성 출범으로 효성그룹은 '한 지붕 두 지주회사' 체제로 개편됩니다.

장남 조현준 회장은 중공업과 화학 등 그룹의 기존 주력 사업을 맡고,톰 히튼삼남 조현상 부회장은 HS효성의 이름으로 첨단소재와 전기차,톰 히튼바이오 등 신사업 발굴에 주력합니다.

조석래 명예회장이 유언을 통해 "형제간 우애를 반드시 지켜달라"고 당부한 만큼 분리된 계열사들의 지분 정리도 수월하게 이뤄질 것으로 예상됩니다.

하지만 10년 전 그룹을 뒤흔든 '형제의 난'은 '뉴 효성' 안착의 여전한 변수입니다.

계열사 지분 정리를 위해선 고 조석래 회장이 남긴 지분 상속이 이뤄져야 하는데,톰 히튼의절한 차남 조현문 전 부사장이 상속에 대한 입장을 밝히지 않아 아직까지 지분 상속이 이뤄지지 않고 있습니다.
