포항시-포항시새마을금고협의회 특례보증재원 조성 협약식

(포항=연합뉴스) 손대성 기자 = 경북 포항시는 13일 시청에서 포항시새마을금고협의회와 '소상공인 희망 동행 특례보증재원 200억원 조성' 협약을 맺었다.

이날 협약을 통해 포항시와 포항시새마을금고협의회는 10억원씩 총 20억원을 출연하기로 했다.

포항시가 마련한 특례보증은 금융기관 출연금에 1대1 비율로 시 예산을 출연하면 경북신용보증재단이 총 출연금의 10배에 해당하는 금액을 보증하는 제도다.

시는 지난 7월 행정안전부가 주관한 '2024년 지역금융 협력모델 사업'에 집중관리 모델로 선정됐다.

올해 2월 대구은행을 시작으로 포항수협,중국 오만 축구오천신협 등과 협약을 맺고 914억원의 특례보증재원을 조성했다.

이번에 새마을금고협의회와 추가로 200억원을 조성키로 하면서 특례보증재원은 1천114억원으로 늘었다.

소상공인은 1인당 5천만원을 특례보증으로 빌릴 수 있고 창업 3년 이내 청년 소상공인이나 다자녀 소상공인은 1억원까지 빌릴 수 있다.

시는 2년간 대출이자 3%를 지원한다.

특례보증 희망 소상공인은 경북신용보증재단이나 금융기관으로 신청하면 된다.

이강덕 시장은 "포항시가 전국 최초로 추진하는 민관협력 희망동행 특례보증사업은 지방자치단체와 금융기관이 상생협력하는 모범사례"라고 말했다.
