공모 접수기간은 9월 23일 오전 9시부터 9월 27일 오후 6시까지다.

이번 공모는 지난 5월 국토부와 1기 신도시 지자체장 간담회에서 발표한 '1기 신도시 선도지구 선정계획'에 따른 지자체별 후속 절차다.

국토부는 지난 간담회에서 노후계획도시 지역별 주택 재고,타이탄 카지노이주주택 확보 물량 등을 고려해 '연도별 정비사업 선정 기준물량'을 제시했다.

또 기준물량에 1~2개 구역을 추가 선정할 수 있도록 지자체에 자율성을 부여했으며 추가물량은 기준물량의 50% 이내를 원칙으로 했다.

일산신도시 선도지구의 경우 지난 2024년 기준물량은 6000호로 여기에 추가물량 3000호를 더하면 총 정비물량은 최대 9000호가 될 전망이다.

이동환 고양시장은 "선도지구 선정 및 사전컨설팅 지원 등을 통해 주민들의 열망에 부응할 수 있도록 행정력을 집중하겠다"며 "체계적인 주민맞춤형 재건축을 통해 쾌적한 주거환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
