베냐민 네타냐후 이스라엘 총리가 지난 8개월간 하마스와의 전쟁을 치러온 전시내각을 해체했다고 일간 하레츠 등 현지언론이 현지시간 17일 보도했습니다.

일간 하레츠는 16일 밤 열린 회의에서 공식적으로 전시내각이 해체됐으며 이제 가자전쟁 관련 민감한 현안은 소수가 참여하는 '특별 회의'에서 결정하고 최종적으로 안보 내각의 추인을 받을 것이라고 전망했습니다.

다만 이 특별회의엔 그동안 전시내각 참여를 희망해온 극우 성향 정치인 이타마르 벤-그비르 국가안보 장관은 포함되지 않을 것으로 보인다고 일간 타임스오브이스라엘은 내다봤습니다.

이스라엘 전시내각은 지난해 10월 7일 하마스의 기습으로 전쟁으로 시작된 뒤 구성됐으며 네타냐후의 정적이자 중도성향의 야당대표 베니 간츠가 정부를 지지하는 차원에서 합류했습니다.

그러나 네타냐후의 초강경 일변도 정책과 전후 가자지구 통치계획 부재 등은 비판을 받았고 결국 간츠 대표는 지난 9일 전시내각 탈퇴를 선언했습니다.
