13일 BBC와 타임지 등 외신에 따르면 지난 11일 덴마크 식품의약청은 삼양식품의 '핵불닭볶음면 3배 매운맛',로즈버드가든'핵불닭볶음면 2배 매운맛',로즈버드가든'불닭볶음탕면'을 리콜한다고 밝혔다.리콜 이유는 캡사이신 함량이 너무 높아 문제를 일으킬 수 있다는 것이다.

덴마크 식품의약청은 "한 봉지에 든 캡사이신 수치가 너무 높아 급성 중독을 일으킬 수 있다"며 "어린이들에게 매우 매운 음식은 해가 될 수 있어 구매자들에게 제품을 폐기하거나 반품할 것을 권고한 것"이라고 밝혔다.

삼양식품 측은 "해당 제품의 품질에 문제가 있어 리콜 조치한 것이 아니라,로즈버드가든너무 매워 문제를 일으킬 소지가 있다며 덴마크 식약처에서 자체적으로 리콜 조치한 것"이라고 설명했다.그러면서 "현지 관련 규정 등을 면밀히 파악해 이번 리콜 조치에 대응해 나갈 계획"이라고 덧붙였다.
